Anti-Forgery eLearning

Brief

A retail bank needed to improve employees' ability to identify counterfeit banknotes. Existing training relied on static materials and in-person sessions, with no effective remote or simulation-based option. This was contributing to undetected forgeries at branch level.

Discovery & Analysis

Analysis showed a direct link between inadequate training and counterfeit acceptance. The learning objective was clear: enable staff to recognise counterfeit banknotes in real working conditions by understanding security features, their location, and how genuine notes differ from fakes. User testing confirmed that zoomable interaction and animated visualisation were far more effective than static images. Learner behaviour and performance were tracked through LMS data to guide iteration and improvement.

Design & Development

Forgery detection is traditionally taught face-to-face through physical inspection. Blend replicated this process digitally by creating an interactive eLearning experience with a high-fidelity banknote, allowing learners to explore magnified and animated security features through direct interaction. Built using Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Suite.

Evaluation

The solution improved forgery detection while reducing onboarding time and training costs. 95% of learners reported greater understanding due to the interactive format Measurable learning gains aligned with improved real-world detection
