Brief
Key2enable partnered with Blend to create accessible eLearning that teaches users with disabilities (including Cerebral Palsy) to use a computer without a traditional keyboard. The challenge was enabling learners to master a completely new assistive device from scratch — without frustration or cognitive overload.
Discovery & Analysis
Learners needed a fully sequential, confidence-building experience, with no assumed digital skills. Basic actions like cursor control were unfamiliar, so pacing, feedback, and motivation were critical. Blend designed the journey around an empowering narrative, positioning learners as the hero to encourage progress and flow.
Design & Development
The device required strict mastery in sequence — no shortcuts. For example, mouse control could only be introduced after specific commands were learned. Blend solved this through:
• Step-by-step progression
• Gamified mastery and rewards
• Narrative immersion to reduce frustration

What this means for your organization
When learning is designed for accessibility, sequencing, and confidence, it can unlock independence and real-world capability — even for the most complex user needs.
"Blend delivered an eLearning solution that met all our objectives. Their discovery process was thorough, communication was clear throughout, and we always knew what to expect at each stage of design and development. We would confidently recommend Blend for accessibility-focused eLearning projects."
